Letters from Dr. Geffen's former Patients
July 23, 2002
Dear Dr. Geffen,
I wanted to send this note off to you to thank you and your staff for their kindness and exceptional care during my mom's continued cancer treatment. I can't begin to tell you how much mom has improved. Believe it or not, she actually looks forward to coming in for her office visits. It is true: you not only treat the cancer in the patient but have treated mom as a whole person. Your staff truly personifies your beliefs.
Mom has told me -- and I have witnessed this myself -- how your staff welcomes her every time she and dad walk through your front door. From the moment she signs in and sees Ellie and Gladys, onto her visit with Jessica, then past Connie, and finally with her visit with you, mom has felt compassion, empathy, and care -- and most of all loved.
You and your staff have truly created a healing environment. If I have failed to mentioned Jeannine, Maureen, June, Al or Brandy it is not intentional. As you know I have worked in a medical environment for over 20 years and I know first hand that in order to have an effective team you have to be working for and with someone very special: that is you Dr. Geffen. The apples don't fall far from the trees.
You've given me something that I can be truly grateful for ... that is time to spend with my mother. Time that has become more precious to me everyday. Somehow, "Thank you" is not enough, but it's all that I can give. Thank you, thanks to your staff and I thank God for helping mom find you and hoping that he continues to bless you and your center.
With much love and admiration,
Toni A. Fratianni
